Dr. Dilip R. Pangavhane, BE (Mechanical), ME (Mechanical), PH.D.
PRINCIPAL
Prof. Dilip Pangavhane is first class Bachelor graduate from Mysore University and postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, with 20.00 years of teaching and research experience. He completed his Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in "Energy", from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore. His research topic was "Analytical and Experimental Studies on Grape Drying", for which he has received Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi.
His areas of teaching and research interest are in Thermal Engineering, Heat Transfer, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Alternative fuels (Bio fuels) and Non Conventional Energy Sources. He guided number of projects of BE and IME students. His Nine Research Papers are published in various International Journals and presented Twenty-two papers in various national and International conferences. He is reviewer of research papers for the International journals "ENERGY The International Journal" and "International Journal of Thermal Sciences", of Elsevier Science publications U.K and for "The International ENERGY Journal (IEJ)", publication of Regional Energy Resources Center (RERIC) of Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok. He is a life member of various prestigious professional institutes like, ISTE, MIE, IME, IIPE, SESI, SAE, American Chemical Society, ISHRAE, IEEE and Indian Science Congress. In year 2001 he was elected as Faculty member and Board of Study Member of Mechanical Engineering for University of Pune, Pune.
He worked as "Principal Project Investigator" (PI) for a research project entitled "Development of a multi-purpose solar tunnel crop dryer for drying of grapes", under SERC fast track proposals for young Scientists, which is completely funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST) and MHRD, Government of India, New Delhi. In 2002 he was awarded as "Promising Engineer" by The Institution of Engineers (India), Nashik centre. He has also authored a book on Mechanical Vibrations, published by Satya publications, New Delhi. He is Recognised Ph.D. Research guide for School of Science and Technology, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik and also for Mechanical Engineering Faculty in University of Pune, Pune.
He worked as a "Resource Person" in various AICTE-ISTE and UGC Sponsored Short term training programmes (STTP) and refresher courses. American Biographical Institute, USA, appointed him as "Consulting Editor "of" The Contemporary Who’s Who Published. He is also working as committee member of "Project Review Committee (PRC)", of "Techno entrepreneurship Programme" (TePP) under Technology Information Forecasting and Assesment Council (TIFAC), DST, New Delhi. He is member of Research and Recognition Committee (RRC)", for School of Science and Technology, by "Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University", Nashik
He also worked as convenor of National Seminar on "Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (RAME-2004)", Co-sponsored by SERC, Department Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, New Delhi and RID Bureau AICTE, New Delhi and university of Pune. His popular articles of Non Convention Energy were also published in local newspapers. He was felicited as "Adarsha Shikshak (Best Teacher)" by "Sarvajanic Vachnalaya Nashik, for the year 2004 on the occasion of "Shikshak Deen-2004". Presently he is working as Principal of Nashik District Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj’s College of Engineering, Nashik-13.
